Services for Charlie Brake, 74, of Slaton will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Westside Church of Christ with Jack Gordon, minister, officiating and Coy Biggs assisting.
Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
He died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1926, in Leonard. He attended Slaton High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He married Louise Gentry on Feb. 21, 1948, in Slaton. He was a conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1986. He was a charter member of the Slaton Veterans of Foreign Wars and was also a member of the Slaton American Legion.
