Rosary for Patricia "Tricia" Garcia Lopez, 49, of Abernathy, TX, will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2014, in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Puthuparambil, pastor, officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 4, 2014, in the same church with the same officiant. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Tricia died at her home in Abernathy, Monday, September 1, 2014.
She was born August 23, 1965 in Lubbock, TX, to Jose and Amy (Cuevas) Garcia. She graduated from Abernathy High School in 1983 and attended West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. Being a military family, they lived in Turkey, Wichita Falls, TX, Portugal and Hawaii before moving back to Abernathy in December of 2010. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church was an avid Nascar and sports fan, loved scrapbooking, crafts and baking with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by a daughter, Mariana Lopez, a son, Jose Lopez, III, parents, Jose and Amy Garcia, all of Abernathy, 2 sisters, Cathy Saldana of Amarillo, TX and Amy Garcia of Abernathy, 2 brothers, Joe Garcia and Pete Cuevas Garcia both of Abernathy 17 nieces and nephews that she adored, Michael, Arnold, Korina, Alejandra, Tasha, Catarina, Kennedy, Cash, Aly, Zakk, Quinn, Gabi, Gil, Georgi, Gilbert, Jolina and Jaime.
