Annette Marie Brawley Claborn, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior May 27, 2016.
Annette was born June 9, 1936 in Nimrod, TX and was the youngest of eleven children.
She was valedictorian of her Senior Class of 1954 in Scranton, TX. She attended Cisco Junior College.
Annette married Danny Lee Claborn on August 12, 1955 in Cisco, TX.
As a young woman she enjoyed playing the piano. Annette taught herself to sew becoming an accomplished seamstress which later enabled her to make both of her daughter's wedding gowns.
Annette was a homemaker until she went to work for West Texas Utilities in 1970. She retired from WTU after 28 years of service. Her co-workers became dear lifelong friends. In her retirement, she loved visiting her granddaughters. Annette was a fabulous cook and visits to Nana's house created loving memories.
As a young woman she enjoyed playing the piano.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley Brawley and Martha Josephine Curtis Brawley; six brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Danny and her children, Pam Shine and husband, Richard of Oak Point, Tx; Leisha Powelson and husband, Ronny of Duncan, OK and son, Tommy Claborn of Carbon, Tx. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Kimberly Powelson Cantu of Lubbock, Tx; Danette Elizabeth Shine of Bedford, Tx; & Cortney Powelson Kubala and husband, Ryan of Humble, Tx. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
