Funeral Mass for Socorro Rodriguez, age 84 of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born July 26, 1936 in Mexico to Margarita (Grajeola) and Ignacio Rodriguez. She was a devoted Catholic and participated in the church choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing and helping people and was known to be the life of the party.
Socorro Rodriguez passed away at her home in Seminole Tuesday, August 11, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents;;four sisters, Elvira Rodriguez, Anna Rodriguez, Margarita Rodriguez, and Lucia Parra; one brother, Jesus Ignacio (Nacho) Rodriguez; and one granddaughter, Alma Delia Contreras. She is survived by six sons, Eustacio Amaton and wife Erminia, Francisco Amaton and wife Silvia, and Jesus Amaton and wife Haydee all of Seminole, Texas, Antonio Amaton and wife Luz of El Paso, Texas, and Pedro Amaton and wife Maria, and Raymond Amaton and wife Maria, both of Mexico; three daughters, Aurelia Chavez and husband Heriberto of El Paso, Texas, Elizabeth Sanchez and husband Esteban of Mexico, and Margarita Chavez and husband Daniel of Seminole, Texas; 38 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. www.boyerfuneralhome.net
