*Obituary
Rosary for Oscar Ramos, 59, of Lubbock, TX, were recited at 8:00 pm Thursday, January 4, 2007, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2007, in the same church.

Military graveside rites were held in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Ramos died Tuesday, January 2, 2007, in his home in Lubbock, TX.

He was born September 17, 1947 in Abernathy, TX, to Enrique and Maria DeLosAngeles Morin Ramos. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1973, including 2 tours in Vietnam. He married Sofia Castellon on July 11, 1971 in Abernathy, where they are members of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Mr. Ramos was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, (VFW) and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Sofia Ramos of Lubbock, TX, 2 sons, Victor Ramos and Francisco Ramos both of Austin, TX, a daughter Naomi Ramos of Lubbock, TX, 3 brothers, Lupe Ramos of Abilene, TX, Jerry Ramos of Lubbock, TX, Jesse Ramos of Greely, CO, 3 sisters, Angelica Pina of Lubbock, TX, Elena Ramos and Ninfa Cuevas both of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Ramos was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Mario Ramos, Enrique Ramos, JR, Francisco Ramos and a sister, Tomasa Ramos. www.abellfuneralhome.com
