Graveside services for Harrold D. Rhodes, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Abernathy Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel of Plainview. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Mr. Rhodes died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at his residence. He grew up in the Abernathy area and graduated from Abernathy High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a farmer and owned and operated Petersburg Implement for 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg.

Survivors include his wife, Colline Rhodes; two sons, Rick Rhodes of Framingham, Mass., and Tim Rhodes of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter Lorna Brown of Boise, Idaho; three brothers, Skeet Rhodes of Georgetown, Don Rhodes of Lubbock and Wayne Rhodes of Virginia Beach, Va.; one sister, Margie Smith of Lubbock; and three grandchildren. His parents, O.D. and Ruth Rhodes; and three siblings, Orene Lloyd, Ladell Rhodes and Jewel Rhodes, are deceased.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
