ROCKDALE - Alex H. Conoley, 63, of Thorndale, died Thursday in a Sn Antonio hospital after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services were at 4 p. m. Saturday in Conoley Cemetery near Thorndale with the Rev. Johnny Hutchings officiating.
Mr. Conoley lived most of his life in Thorndale. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in the Air Force after the war until 1957. He later became a carpenter. He was a member of the Thorndale Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his widow, Josephine Frisch Conoley of Thorndale; two sons, Glenn Conoley of Houston and Travis Conoley of Rockdale; four brothers, Ken and Rufus Conoley, both of Austin, Ralph Conoley of Silver Springs, Md., and Rosco Conoley of Thorndale; a sister, Nell Wood of Waco; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home of Rockdale was in charge of arrangements.
