Bertha Applegate, 85, of 1012 MacKenzie, in Stinnett, died at 4:30 a.m. May 19, 1986 in Amarillo.
A homemaker, she was a native of Blackwell, Oklahoma and a Stinnett resident for 38 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Stinnett in 1948 from Blackwell, Ok.
She is survived by one son - Ned Applegate of Dewey, Ok.; one daughter - Ruth Jones of Dumas; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Applegate on July 24, 1978.
Services [sic] are pending. Burial will be under the direction of Alexander Funeral Directors in Stinnett.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Stinnett, with Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Stinnett.
Pallbearers will be L.T. Dozier, Stan Freriks, Kelsie Horton, Howard Jones, Sam McCall, John McCord, Dick Morris, and Clay Simms.
She is survived by one son, Ned Applegate of Dewey, Okla.; one daughter, Ruth Jones of Dumas; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will be staying at 1012 MacKenzie Street in Stinnett.
