NEW DEAL-Services for Barbara Jo Exum Teston, 78, of New Deal, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at First Baptist Church of New Deal under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. Barbara went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 1, 2016, in her home with all of her family at her bedside.

She was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Lubbock, Texas, to Joe Exum and Vada Fontaine. She retired from Pioneer Lincoln Mercury-Nissan after 30 years of service, in 2012. Barbara was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill Teston, for 63 years.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; four of her five daughters and their families: Mauri and Tony Kirk of Lubbock, Jane and John Fabian of Lubbock, Kelle and Kellie Allen of Fredericksburg, Pepper and Jamie Grey of Littlefield. Her eldest daughter, Sharla Archer, preceded her in death in Oct. of 2014. She has 10 grandchildren; three grandson-in-laws; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of New Deal. She is very much loved by her family and her many friends. LUBBOCK-A celebration of the life of William (Bill) R. Teston, 80, of New Deal will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of New Deal with Pastor Danny Jackson officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Sanders Funeral Home. Bill went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 24, 2017.

He was born Feb. 15, 1937, in Lubbock, to William Robert and Lillian West Teston. Bill attended Lubbock High where he met his wife, of 63 years, Barbara Jo Exum. Bill had three siblings.

Loved ones include five daughters, Mauri and Tony Kirk and Jane and John Fabian, of Lubbock, Kelle and Kellie Allen of Fredericksburg, Pepper and Jamie Grey of Littlefield, Kim Archer of Buffalo Springs Lake, Wayne Teston of Austin, and Jerry Teston of Florida; brothers and sister-in-laws; and many grands, great-grands and great-great-grands that he adored. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Kratzer, of Austin; his wife, Barbara Exum Teston; and daughter, Sharla Archer of Buffalo Springs Lake. Bill learned to love and respect the outdoors and outdoor sports which he kept up with until his health slowed him down.
