CAMERON MAN KILLED IN SUNDAY WRECK

Funeral services were held at 4 p. m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Cameron for an 18-year old Cameron man who died Sunday night in a two vehicle accident near Taylor.
John B. Henderson, 18, of Cameron, and Clifford Daniel Zett, 31, of Granger, were killed when their pickup trucks collided, then exploded approximately 200 yards East of Taylor city limits on U. S. Highway 79.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene at 10:30 p. m. Sunday by Justice of the Peace A. J. Zrubek of Taylor.
According to Department of Public Safety officials, Zett was westbound in a 1978 Ford pickup and Henderson eastbound in a 1981 GMC pickup truck. The accident reportedly occurred in the westbound lane.
The Taylor Fire Department was on the scene within minutes to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters removed the bodies from the pickups and they were transported to Breckenridge Hospital for autopsy.
The accident is under investigation by DPS Trooper Larry Kocurek, of Taylor.
Zett was a licensed plumber with a Pflugerville plumbing company. Condra Funeral Home in Granger was in charge of arrangements.
Born in Cameron, Henderson was a graduating senior at Yoe High School.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Henderson Jr., two sisters, Eloise Henderson and Elizabeth Henderson, and two grandmothers, Mrs. John B. Henderson Sr. and Mrs. Louis McCarroll.
Marek - Burns - Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron was in charge of arrangements.
