Services for Robert Vaile Totty, 84, of Abernathy will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Wilcox, pastor, and the Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of Lamesa First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, Nov. 26 1998, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Beckam County, Okla., and married Helen Mahon on Dec. 1, 1934, in Mangum, Okla.

He was a 51-year member of the Independent Order Of Oddfellows. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by one son, Flavil Wayne Totty; one daughter, Treva Faye Totty; and one grandchild, Jiminey Rachelle Owens.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Evelyn Vaile Daugherty of Indianapolis and Carol Delane Kramer of Houston; two brothers, Norvel Totty of Springdale, Ark., and Waymon Totty of Oracle, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Source: Abell Funeral Home.
