Carter Caldwell would have celebrated his 93rd birthday on this coming May 27th.

Carter was widowed after 66 years of marriage to the late Faye Caldwell, both of Slaton.

He was welcomed into heaven by our Lord on April 28th. Carter was born at home on the family farm west of Slaton in 1919, and he graduated from Slaton High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his infant daughter; his parents; and five siblings.

Carter is survived by his daughter, Caron Cartrite; his son-in-law, Lynn Cartrite; his granddaughter, Jamey Cartrite; and four sisters, Dolly Brown and Dee Dee Mullins (Slaton), Lula Hancock (Ropes) and Anna Belle Foerster (Lubbock).

Carter was a member of First Baptist Church Slaton. Carter loved his Lord, his family, farming, and the land where he was reared. Everyone who knew and loved him will miss Carter.
