STINNETT - Services for Charles T. (Chuck) Burkholder, 78, of 316 Greenough, were at 2 p.m. today at the Stinnett United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Martyn, pastor, and the Rev. Bill Burkholder, evangelist, officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Alexander Funeral Directors of Stinnett.
Mr. Burkholder died at 10 a.m. Sunday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
A retired employee of the Exploration and Production Department of Phillips Petroleum Company, Mr. Burkholder came to the Borger area in 1932. He lived on the Phillips Patton lease until 1939 when his family moved to the Kay Water Station northwest of Stinnett. In 1959, he moved to Stinnett. Mr. Burkholder was employed by Phillips Petroleum for 39 years. He retired in 1967.
Mr. Burkholder was born in Rich Hill, Mo. He was a member of the Stinnett United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ida May; two sons, Charles of Clovis, N.M., and the Rev. Bill Burkholder of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Rosa Whitehead, of Anchorage, Ala. and Mrs. Elaine Graham of Pampa; one brother, M.M. of Marion, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Darrow and Mrs. Ruby Keltner, both of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Frances Hett of Marion, Kan.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eual Chisum, Bill Burton, Tommy Ferguson, Herb Pay, Fred Reed and Hugo Riemer.
Honorary pallbearers will be W.O. Blakeney, D.H. Fogle, L.U. Pickard, Ray Owenby, Vance Johnson, James Weaver, Sam McCall, Howard Pierce, Roy Christian, Litch Sparks.((Published in Borger News-Herald, Tuesday, March 24, 1981, Page 10)

STINNETT - Ida May Burkholder, 86, Stinnett, died Sunday, Feb. 16 in Coronado Hospital in Pampa.
A homemaker, she was a native of Faxon, Okla. Territory, and a Stinnett resident for 60 years.
She was a member of the Stinnett Methodist Church. She married Charles T. Burkholder in 1931 in El Dorado, Kan. and he preceded her in death March, 1981. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles C. Burkholder in 1983.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stinnett Methodist Church with Rev. Landrum Medlock, pastor, and Rev. Bill Burkholder of Overland Park, Kan. officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
She is survived by a son, Bill Burkholder of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Rosa Whitehead of Zwolle, Louisiana and Elaine Graham of Pampa, Tx.; a brother, Earle Hungerford of San Lorenzo, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
