STINNETT - Opal Claybrook, 96, formerly of Stinnett, died Monday, July 5, 1999, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sunset Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Lowe, assistant minister of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Borger.

Mrs. Claybrook was born in Montague County. She lived in Stinnett from 1923 to 1992, when she moved to Amarillo. She had lived at Clairmont Retirement Residence in Amarillo.

She had taught for Stinnett Independent School District. She was a charter member of the Stinnett United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Claybrook, in 1974.

Survivors include her daughter, Anna Beth King of Amarillo; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

The family requests memorials be to Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or to a favorite charity.
