STINNETT - Funeral services for James A. Conaway Jr., 45, of the Herring Camp, who was dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital in Borger shortly before noon Saturday, were to be at 2 a.m. today in Stinnett Victory Baptist Church.
The Rev. George Jackson, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church was to officiate, assisted by the Rev. George Harvey Hudson, pastor of the Victory Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.
An employee of Panhandle Producing Co., Mr. Conaway died of an apparent heart attack. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; three sons, Larry of Gruver, Mac and Garry Don, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. James Conaway of Claude; a brother, Walter of Pasarobles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Harvy Hudson of Stinnett, Mrs. Henry Potter of White Deer and Mrs. George Hudson of Dimmitt; and two grandchildren.
