STINNETT - Johnnie E. Garrard, 54, died Sunday, June 21, 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Eternal Light Pentecostal Church in Borger with the Rev. William Adams, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. Garrard was born in Idowa, Ill., and had been a resident of Stinnett for 39 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received the Purple Heart.
He had worked as a truck driver and mechanic for Phillips Petroleum and Plains Livestock. He attended Eternal Light Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He married Alice Vannatta in 1975 in Hooker, Okla.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael of Stinnett and Jerry of Abilene; two brothers, Allen of Amarillo and Preston of Stinnett; four sisters, LeAnna Hooks, Terry Larson and Shirley Samford, all of Stinnett, and Jessie Ratliff of Borger; his mother, Rowena Garrard of Stinnett; and three grandchildren.
The body will be available for viewing at Brown Memorial Chapel in Stinnett.
