This is the daughter of Velma Estella Coile Jones and the sister of Paula Jones. She was killed in a tragic event at Lake Meredith with her 2-year-old daughter and husband.

BORGER NEWS HERALD - March 12, 1984

STINNETT - Services for Freida Kay Goodwin, 30, of 227 Clark St., will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Stinnett High School auditorium with the Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, pastor of the Riverview Baptist Church, and the Rev. Billy Holland, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Stinnett by Alexander Funeral Directors of Stinnett.

Mrs. Goodwin died Sunday at Fortress Cove Marina.

Mrs. Goodwin was born in Borger and had lived in Stinnett all her life. She graduated from Stinnett High School in 1971 and attended West Texas State University in Canyon.

She married Donald Roy Goodwin in 1974.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jones of Stinnett; and a sister, Paula Jones of Lubbock.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Ruiz, Jack Haymaker, K. D. Johnson, Will Owen, Irby Cook, Ben Gay, Bob Childers, Elmer Wilson, Pat Patton, Joe Fraumane, Ray Burnes, Gib Smith, J. C. Wilson, Jerry Henderson, Charles Williams and Reggie Adams.
