Funeral services for Anne Velma Groves, 70, of 400 W. Broadway, Stinnett, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Stinnett High School Auditorium with the Rev. Don Good, pastor of the First Christian Church of Sulphur Springs officiating.

Interment will be in the Stinnett Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Mrs. Groves was the first baby girl born in Hutchinson County. She was born on May 26, 1902.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas of Fritch and Richard of Stinnett; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Roland of Pampa, Mrs. Frankie Crownover of Marble Falls, Mrs. Betty Brown of Dallas and Mrs. Mary Reese of Wagoner, Okla. Six brothers, Willis Hedgecoke of Fort Sumner, N.M., Sid Hedgecoke of Las Animas, Colo., Tom Hedgecoke of LaFayette, Ore., Bob Hedgecoke of Cary, N.C., John Hedgecoke of Las Animas, Colo., and Sam Hedgecoke of Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Miss Lucy Hedgecoke of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Rose White of Hobbs, N.M.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Casketbearers will be Allen Lindsey, Elvin Ryder, David Flowers, Bill Reese, Michael Lindsey and James Flowers.
