Thelma Holman, 85, of Amarillo, passed away, Saturday, August 25, 2012.

Thelma Doris (Willis) Holman was born Thursday, July 21, 1927 in McLean, TX to Clyde and Eula (Ayers) Willis. She married Clyde Junior Holman on November 10, 1945 in McLean, TX. She was a retired nurse's aide.

Mrs. Holman is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Clyde Legene Holman; and her brother, J. C. Willis.

Survivors include her son, John Holman and wife Leslie of Amarillo, TX; two step-grandsons, Thomas Downs of Honolulu, HI and Taylor Downs of Amarillo, TX; one brother. Tommy Willis and wife Clara of Pampa, TX; one sister, Dorothy Conatser and husband Albert of Delta, CO; three grandchildren, Joe Holman, Carman Hulsey and Junior Lee Holman; three great grandchildren, Kloe Holman, Marissa Holman and Trevor Holman; and two great great grandchildren, Kyler Holman and Kayden Holman.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage, Amarillo, TX with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 pm at Stinnett Cemetery in Stinnett, TX.

Mrs. Holman will lie in state at Rector Funeral Home in Amarillo, TX.
