STINNETT - John L. Hooks, 59, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Stinnett Cemetery with the Rev. Orville Rogers, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Hooks was born in Borger and was a longtime resident of Stinnett. He was a Baptist and co-owner of H&H Contractors.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; four sons, William Hooks and Lane Parker, both of Stinnett, Richard Hooks of Boulder, Colo., and Robin Parker of Amarillo; a daughter, Sherry Barrow of Skellytown; his mother, Mary Hooks of Stinnett; two brothers, Claude Hooks Jr. of Skellytown and Don Hooks Sr. of Stinnett; six sisters, Ruth Hedgecoke of Waxahachie, Barbara Mongold and LaDonna Kitchens, both of Stinnett, Susan Ramsey, Brenda Harrison and Sharon Lawrence, all of Borger; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society or the Spinal Injury Foundation.
