Funeral Mass for Jesus O. Salinas, Sr. age 72 of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held at St. James Catholic Church Friday, October 2, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. The church will allow a limited number of attendees inside for the funeral service, and it is suggested that a mask be worn, and social distancing practiced, in keeping with CDC guidelines.
Mr. Salinas was born August 21, 1948 in Floresville, Texas to Santiaga (Ortiz) and Fedencio A. Salinas. He married Adriane Valadez in Seminole on February 17, 2015. He was a Catholic and worked as a welder. In his spare time Jesus enjoyed watching westerns, listening to Mexican music, spending time with his family, gardening, and fishing; he especially loved watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a very loving man who would give you the shirt off his back and was a great caregiver to his nephew.
Jesus Salinas passed away at his home in Seminole Tuesday, September 29, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Dee Salinas of Seminole; one son, Jesus Salinas, Jr and wife Ashley of Payton, Colorado; two daughters, Maria Jessica Salinas and husband Juan Sandoval of Raymondville, Texas, and Claudia Salinas and husband Santillan of Lyford, Texas; two brothers, Simon Salinas and Armando Salinas of Seminole; five sisters, Herminnie Garza and husband Daniel of Floresville, Texas, Maria Almager of Midland, Texas, Gloria Calderon of Floresville, Texas, and Juanita Davila and husband David, and Erima Ramirez and husband Arcenio, both of Seminole; and nine grandchildren. www.boyerfuneralhome.net
