Velda Lorene Lemon, 78, died Tuesday in Denver, Colo.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Park in Stinnett with the Rev. Billy Holland, First Christian Church of Clarendon, officiating.

Lemon, a homemaker, was a native of McCune, Kan., and a resident of Stinnett until last year when she moved to Denver.

She married Ralph L. Lemon in 1928, and was preceeded in death by him in 1982 and by her daughter Alice Lee Lemon in 1935.

Lemon moved to Borger in 1938 and then to Stinnett in 1958 where she was a member of the Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Lou Anderson of Stinnett, and Margie Ann Hughes of Arvada, Colo.; two sons, Allen Ray Lemon of Stinnett, and Glenn Dale Lemon of Los Alamos, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial will be under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
