E.E. "Zeke" Looney, 66, of 930 Clark, Stinnett, died Monday afternoon in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Stinnett with the Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

The body will lie in state at Ed Brown & Sons Memorial Chapel in Stinnett.

A retired instrument man for Phillips Petroleum Company, Looney was a native of Itasca, Texas, and an area resident for 46 years.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 351 and the First Baptist Church of Stinnett.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanie Olson, in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two sons, Brian Looney and Rick Fare, both of Fritch; one sister, Maureen Colbert of Oklahoma City, Okla., four brothers, A.E. Looney of Oakhurst, Texas, Gerald Looney of Blanchard, Okla., K.L. Looney of Oklahoma City, and L.D. Looney of Yukon, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
