STINNETT - Marvin G. "Mac" McEntire, 82, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 31, 1996 in St. Anthony's Hospice of Amarillo.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. in Brown's Memorial Chapel of Stinnett with the Rev. Billy Holland, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.
Interment was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors.
Casket bearers were Joshua Dunn, Danny Stafford, Mathew Ferguson, Jacob Keidel, Larry Keidel and Jeremy Schadegg.
A native of Quanah, Mr. McEntire had been a Stinnett area resident for 40 years. He was a retired employee of the Northern Natural Gas Company. Mr. McEntire was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Drake, in 1990 and one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by one son, Clyde McEntire of Humboldt, Iowa; two daughters, Gail Dunn of Stinnett and Toni Vavra of Kimball, Neb.; six grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
