Carroll D. Pendleton passed away Friday February 20, 2015 in Amarillo.

Mr. Pendleton was born October 14, 1925 in Wheeler, Texas to Olin Webster Pendleton and Ruby May (Bradshaw) Pendleton. He married Lillian Dolores Ahler on September 14, 1947 in Pampa, Texas.

Mr. Pendleton served in the United States Navy and won the Victory Medal in World War II. He was in the Asiatic Pacific Area, the American Area, and the Philipine Liberation. He was supervisor at Phillips Petroleum Company where he worked for 28 years. He was mayor of Stinnett and served 2 terms on the City Council. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Methodist Men.

He enjoyed attending USS San Saba Reunions, camping, fishing and travelling with Dolores. His fondest memory was winning a pontoon boat on a $10.00 ticket. He loved his pets Atlas (the bull) and Pal.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and 2 brothers: O.W. Pendleton and Lowell Pendleton.

He is survived by a son Jeff and his wife Sheryl Pendleton of Peachtree City Georgia and two daughters: Jeanette and husband Roger Sepulveda of Borger and Sonia Hawkins and friend Mike Elmore of Amarillo. . His grandchildren include: Maurita Pleasant, Shelly Sepulveda, Erin Hawkins, Taylor Hawkins, Sarah Nalley, and Amy Stockton and one great grandson , Hudson, on-the-way. His great grandchildren include Leah and Luke Russell , Samuel, Shaelin, Abby, Tyler and Noah Sepulveda, Ashley , Alexis and Triston Nalley; Jacob Worthan and Lee and Molly Stockton. His great -great granddaughters are Lillian Russell and Kynlee and Kylee Anderson.; one brother Dick Pendleton of Wellington.

Services will be held Monday February 23, 2015 at Stinnett United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Stinnett Cemetery.

Mr. Pendleton will lie in state at Brown's Chapel in Stinnett Saturday from 8AM-8PM and on Sunday from noon - 6PM.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Ussery-Roan Texas State Veteran's Home of Amarillo.

STINNETT – Dolores Pendleton, 71, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen W. Gaines, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with arrangements entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll; one son, Jeffrey Pendleton of Peachtree City, Ga.; two daughters, Carol Sepulveda and Sonia Hawkins both of Borger; one brother, Elbert Ahler, Jr., and one sister, Emily Farmer, both of Laughlin, Nev.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
