STINNETT - Linden "L.D." Richardson, 86, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Stinnett Cemetery with Rev. Danny Courtney, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Richardson was born the fifth of ten children on Aug. 28, 1922, in Dundee, Okla., to Jesse and Essie Richardson. He was a mechanic's assistant in the oilfield, member of the First Baptist Church in Stinnett and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Plemons Masonic Lodge No. 877 and loved yard work and his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pearl on December 1, 2001, seven sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by three sons, D.J. Richardson and wife Barbara of Amarillo, Daniel Richardson and wife Linda of Stinnett, and Dennis Richardson and wife Peggy of Scott Acres in Stinnett; two brothers, J.D. Richardson of Lubbock and Paul Richardson of Amarillo, a sister Betty Jean Boggs of Hereford, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to give a special thank-you to the staff of Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo.
