DUMAS, June 21 - Funeral services for John Daniel Ryan, 27, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in the Assembly of God Church of Dumas.
Officiating will be the Rev. Lester Glenn, pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Cactus, assisted by the Rev. H.L. Stevens, Dumas pastor.
Mr. Ryan was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital here Tuesday after suffering a blow on the head while working at the Phillips Gasoline Plant five miles southwest of here.
Three fellow workers at the plant found Ryan lying face down on the concrete floor of an engine room about 8 a.m. Tuesday. Sheriff John Easley said Ryan, who was alone in the room at the time, apparently fell and struck his head on the control panel. The man died of a fractured skull.
Survivors include his wife Johnny Faye, of the home; a son, Steve Michael, and two daughters, Dianna Lee and Donna Faye, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Ryan of Abilene; a brother, O.E. Ryan Jr. of Cisco; a stepbrother, Kirwin Lee Beck, a stepsister, Joyce Lynn Stevens, both of Abilene.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery at Stinnett, under the direction of Boxwells of Dumas.
