Funeral services for Marvin Hayden Yell, 74, 101 Morse St., Stinnett, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. John Baird, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

A retired pumper with Skelly Oil Company, he had lived in the Borger area for 43 years.

He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Borger, a member of V.F.W. 1789, Disabled American Veterans, American Ex-Prisoners of War, First Special Service Force Association and F Troop-124th Calvary Association.

He is survived by his wife, one son, two daughters, one brother, and two sisters.

STINNETT - Virginia "Jenny" Yell, 76, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007.

Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with Rhonda Greenwood, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Yell was born Oct. 27, 1931, in Denton County to Arnold and Ivilla Bond. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Norman Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Mary Bowman of Parker, Colo., and Virginia Susan Everhart of Sanford, Fla.; two sisters, Martha Nolty of Fritch and Nancy Walker of Lubbock; two brothers, John Bond of Odessa and Frank Bond of Memphis, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
