STAFF SERGEANT Bynum was one of seven killed when their Lockheed C- 130H Hercules (74-1672) crashed short of the runway at the Indian Springs Air Force Auxillary Base in Nevada during a night time approach. It was part of Fort Lewis, Washington night realistic field condition training.
