STINNETT - Kendra Diane Teel Sotelo, 32, of Stinnett died Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 108 Broadmoor St. in Borger, with Mike Nixon and Randy Lopez officiating.

Kendra was born to Margie and Dale Teel on Jan. 28, 1978, in Amarillo. She was a graduate of Canyon High School in 1996 and Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Guymon, Okla., in 2004.

Kendra taught third-grade math at Sunray Elementary School. She was previously a teacher in Stinnett and Cactus.

She married James Daniel Sotelo on April 17, 1999 and became a mother to his young son Kameron. They added to their family by having another son, Marcos, in 2000, and then in 2008 they adopted two beautiful girls, Audrey and Aaliyah.

Because of her love of our creator and study of the Scriptures, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 20, 2002.

She had many interests including running, sports and music. Her passion was for teaching and sharing her faith with others. Most everything Kendra did revolved around her kids, nieces and nephews and her students. Kendra loved her family and her students and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; a son, Kameron Miguel Sotelo; and daughter, Aaliyah Breanne Sotelo, all of Stinnett; her mother, Margie Teel of Stinnett; two sisters, Tricia Latta of Amarillo and Karin Dyer of Fort Cobb, Okla.; two brothers, Lloyd Stewart and Kevin Teel of Amarillo; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Juan and Paula Sotelo of Stinnett; two nieces; eight nephews; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, friends, co-workers and students.

Pallbearers are Ruben Cantu, Jared Cagle, Greg Bryant, Dustin Comer, Ethan Martinez and Sam Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Evan Bryant, Noah Brown and Michael Sotelo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

The family suggests memorials be to The Worldwide Ministry Work, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483.
