Funeral services for H.D. Strother, 74, of 813 Williams St., Stinnett, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Stinnett with the Rev. O.H. Butler officiating.
Strother was pronounced dead on arrival at the North Plains Hospital Saturday morning following a heart attack at his residence.
The deceased was a retired driller, a veteran of World War I and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1948 in Stinnett.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche Strother; three sons: Lloyd of Andrews, Charles of Stinnett and Paul of Nederland; a daughter, Mrs. Edgar Williams of Stinnett; a brother, F.L. Strother of Keyes, Okla., and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Curry of West Virginia.
Casket bearers will be Paul Groves, Henry Turner, Bruce Titus, B.C. Gidley, Hiram Snodgrass and Robert Carp.
Interment in the Stinnett cemetery will be under the direction of Ed Brown, Funeral Director.
