Caroll Throckmorton, 92, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church in Stinnett with the Rev. Jim West officiating. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery in Stinnett. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Throckmorton was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Brighton, Colo., to Lee Roy and Susan Roseschlaub Jones. On Aug. 9, 1934, she married the love of her life, James Webb Throckmorton III, in Breckenridge, Colo.
Survivors include a son, James W. Throckmorton IV of Stinnett; three daughters, Jessie Poss of El Dorado, Okla., Grace Kaslon and Hallie Throckmorton, both of Stinnett; a sister, Irene Simmons of Lakewood, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or the First Christian Church, 924 Clark Ave., Stinnett, TX 79083.
