Pete COATES, 50, of Perryton, died June 11, 1995.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 14, at Full Gospel Church with Rev. Harrol Waterbury, pastor, officiating. Burial followed, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers, in Holt Cemetery near Spearman.
He was born June 12, 1944 in Amarillo, and had lived in Perryton for 32 years, moving here from Warrensburg, MO. He married Mary Helen COLLINGSWORTH on September 17, 1977 in Perryton.
A graduate of Spearman High School, he served in the United State Navy from 1962 until 1966. He had worked for Diamond Shamrock and Maxus since 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen, of the home; three daughters, Tippi Kai COATES and Kellie COATES of Amarillo and Chaunn MOON of Emery; his parents, Kenneth and Marie COATES of Spearman; three brothers, Kenny COATES of Fort Worth, and Galen COATES and Dean COATES, both of Spearman; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106; Full Gospel Church, 2210 SW 15th Ave, Perryton, TX 79070; or Holt Cemetery, in care of Mary Fern Terry, 906 S. Bernice, Spearman, TX 79081.
