Tip Collingsworth, 75, of Perryton, died Nov. 5, 1991.
Funeral services will be today, Thursday, at 1 p.m. in Full Gospel church with Rev. Harrol Waterbury, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Holt Cemetery near Spearman. Arrangements are through Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1915 in Frisco and came to Perryton in 1929. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1934. He married Ruby Lamb on Nov. 29, 1944. He owned various car dealerships, including Collingsworth Motor Co., from 1959-1981.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Air Force. An avid airplane enthusiast, he traded for over 150 airplanes during his career.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; one son, Bruce Collingsworth of Arlington; one daughter, Mary Helen Coates of Perryton; one brother, Tom Collingsworth of Guymon, OK; and four grandchildren.

PERRYTON - Ruby Collingsworth, 83, died Monday, May 14, 2007.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Holt school house, 13 miles south of Spearman on FM 281 and three miles west, with Dwain Read officiating. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Mrs. Collingsworth was born March 1, 1924, in Hutchinson County. She married Tip Collingsworth on Nov. 29, 1944, in Oklahoma.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Collingsworth of Arlington; a daughter, Mary Helen Coates of Perryton; two brothers, Ervin Lamb of Tucumcari, N.M., and Bob Lamb of Stephenville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Holt Cemetery, in care of Mary Fern Terry, 906 Bernice, Spearman, TX 79081; or Museum of the Plains, 1200 N. Main, Perryton, TX 79070.
