SPEARMAN - Branch Archer Sheets, 93, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Church of Christ with Rick Bloodworth officiating. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Mr. Sheets was born June 22, 1915, in Jeffry. He married Mallie Carter on Aug. 23, 1949, in Borger, and she preceded him in death in 2003.
Mr. Sheets was a farmer and rancher. He was a Church of Christ member.
Survivors include a son, Dan Sheets and wife Nancy of Tipton, Okla.; a daughter, Kay Padon and husband Robbie of Greenville; three brothers, Willis Sheets of Round Rock and S.B. Sheets and Claude Sheets Jr., both of Spearman; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

SPEARMAN - Mallie Carter Sheets, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in Stratford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spearman Church of Christ with Loran Harper and Leonard Harper officiating. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery by Boxwell Bothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Mrs. Sheets was a schoolteacher for 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Spearman. She loved all sports. She excelled in playing basketball coached basketball and tennis and was a loyal school sports fan.
Survivors include her husband, Branch Sheets of Spearman; a son, Dan Sheets of Tipton, Okla.; a daughter, Kay Sheets of Euless; three brothers, Hilyar Carter and Percy Carter, both of Littlefield, and Eugene Carter of Hale Center; two sisters, Mary Stratton of Weslaco, and Nell Elliston of Kilgore; and two granddaughters, Susan Sheets of Wilmer, and Elizabeth Martin of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials be to Holt Cemetery, care of Mary Fern Terry, 906 Bernice, Spearman, TX 79081.
