SPEARMAN, Oct. 6 - Funeral rites for Claud Sheets, 74, were conducted today in the Church of Christ at Spearman by Dale Pearson, minister.

Burial was in Holt Cemetery, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Sheets, longtime resident of Spearman, died of a heart attack Saturday at his home. He was born July 5, 1881, in Henderson County. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Hansford County since 1901.

Survivors include his wife, Mannie [sic] L., of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Stinnett, Mrs. R.E. Harmon of Sweeney, Mrs. J.D. Mitchell of Dallas and Mrs. Gene Cudd of Perryton; seven sons, Martin of Albuquerque, N.M., Daniel, Willis and Claude of Spearman, Branch of Hart, S.B. of Sunray and Floyd of Guymon; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

SPEARMAN - Mrs. Nannie Lou Sheets, 81, died Wednesday.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Spearman Church of Christ with Bill Osborne, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Sheets was a native of Coryell County and had been a resident of Spearman since 1900. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are seven sons, Daniel, S.B., and Claude Jr., all of Spearman, Martin of San Bernadino [sic], Calif., Branch of Happy, Lloyd of Guymon, Okla., and Willis of Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Johnson of Stinnett, Mrs. Grace Harmonic of Stavanger, Norway, Mrs. Frances Cudd of Spearman, and Mrs. Zola Mitchell of Corpus Christi; 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
