Joe Roy Sheets, one year and ten months old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Eldridge Sheets, drowned yesterday in a stock tank twelve miles south of Spearman. An inhaler was rushed to the scene of the disaster, but the child had already passed away.
Funeral services will be held in Spearman at the Union Church at 3 o'clock Wednesday, the Rev. M.W. Graves officiating. The body will lay in state in Spearman from 6 o'clock this afternoon until funeral time tomorrow.
Burial will be at the Holt Cemetery under the direction of the Powell Funeral Home.
Joe Roy is survived by his parents, five sisters, three brothers, and other relatives.
