Funeral services for Carl Nolan (Bud) Dodd, 41, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Park Church of Christ with the Rev. Charles A. Whitmire officiating and the Rev. Dewane Grimes, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Stinnett, assisting. Burial will follow in Libe [sic] Cemetery at Morse.

Dodd, who lived at 1016 Carpenter, died at St. Anthony's Hospital, Amarillo, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. He was a cashier for the Borger office of the Santa Fe Railroad. He was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Aline, Okla. and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include the widow, Louise, of the home; his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Howard E. Dodd of Amarillo; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Turner of Borger; and two brothers, Edwin Dodd of Stinnett and Mike Turner of Corpus Christi.

Pall bearers will be Vaughn White, Howard Lovelady, P.E. Ratliff, George Tubb, Bill Syder and W.C. (Buddy) Haynes.

Dodd had remained in critical condition since April 15, when a boat in which he was riding fell off the trailer which carried it and crushed him underneath it. The mishap occurred near Lake Meredith.

AMARILLO- Attendants at St. Anthony's Hospital here today reported condition of Carl N. (Budd) Dodd, 42-year-old Borger man injured last week in a highway mishap, as "very grave."

Dodd suffered severe back, head and internal injuries when a heavy pontoon boat, being towed around a shorp [sic] curve, flipped and fell on him. He was riding in the boat when the accident occurred.

He remains in the intensive care ward of the hospital.
