SPEARMAN (Special) - Final rites were to be this afternoon for H.H. Jones, pioneer resident of Hansford County.
Jones died in the Hansford County Hospital early Sunday morning after suffering a stroke more than a week ago. He came from Graham County to Hansford in 1907 and established a farm in the southwest section of the county.
He lived there until 1926 when he moved to Spearman but continued to operate his farm. About three years ago he moved to Morse, where he was making his home at the time of his death. Jones was a Methodist and a charter member of the Rural Methodist Church in the Leib community.
Survivors include his wife Georgia; a daughter, Mrs. Lephera Dixon of Morse; a son, Hall Jones of Spearman; two sisters, and five brothers.
The Rev. H.A. Nichols, of Anton and former pastor of the Spearman church, will officiate at the services in the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Leib Cemetery.
