MORSE - Samuel Wilson McCloy, 79, died Sunday, September 28, 1997, in his home in Cabool, Mo.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 1997, at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Stinnett with Rev. Landrum Medlock, pastor, and the Rev. Ivan Allen, retired minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery in Pringle under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla.

Memorial services were held today at the First United Methodist Church in Cabool under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.

A native of Morse, he attended country schools, graduating from Pringle grade school and later from Morse High School. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Europe.

He married Mary Nan Gillispie on April 7, 1946, in Morse. They moved to Nara Visa, N.M.; for 13 years and later returned to Morse where they built one of the area's first feedlots.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cabool, Mo.

Mr. McCloy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Trumbull.

Survivors include his wife, Nan McCloy of the home; a daughter, Nanelle Kiser of Cabool, Mo.; four sons, Allen McCloy of Morse, Bill McCloy of Licking, Mo., Doug McCloy of Dumas and Mark McCloy of Morse; three brothers, Willard McCloy of Morse; Carson McCloy of LaJunta, Colo., and Thane McCloy of Morse; and 12 grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Morse Community Center of the Morse Park in lieu of floral tributes. Memorials will be accepted at the Henson-Novak Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, Okla.
