BORGER, Texas - (Special) - Funeral services for W.R. Mortimer, 65 year old Morse resident, were conducted at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon in the Morse school auditorium with the Rev. Bowling and the Rev. Marvin Menefee officiating.
Mortimer had been an agent for the Rock Island Railroad company at Morse for the past ten years and died in an Amarillo hospital Saturday.
Interment in Lieb cemetery was under the direction of Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home of Borger.
Casket bearers were O. E. Vaughan, Jake Miller, H.I. Gay, T.I. Harbour, George Bynum, and Fred Wright. Honorary bearers were Henry Reid. Earlis Pitman, R. C. Womble, Mack Dortch, Pearl Dixon and Bernie Sparks.
Flower girls were Beaulah Ann Boney, Maxine Dortch, Betty Jean Sparks, Ruby Jean Groves, Nell Gillispie and Sue Gillispie.
