SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER MILAM MAN, JOHN D. WILLIAMS
Funeral services were held 2 p. m. Wednesday from the Chapel of Green Funeral Home for John Douglas Williams, age 48.
Rev. Jewel Strong officiated with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Williams, born in Cameron, was educated in the Cameron schools and was a well known athlete during his school days. He moved to Houston about 25 years ago. He passed away Sunday in a Houston hospital following a brief illness.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Betty Williams of Cameron; one brother Clyde Williams of Houston and one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Tucker of Cameron.
Pallbearers were Dean White, George Miller, Nig Moody, Howard Tucker, John S. Batte, James Tucker, Norris Rogers and Vaughn Jenness.
