MORSE - Funeral services for Alan D. Dixon, 22, of Morse, who was killed Thursday when his cattle truck overturned, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Morse High School.

The Rev. Wade Griffin, pastor of the Muleshoe Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Vernon Willard, pastor of the Stinnett Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery by Minton Mortuary of Borger.

The accident occurred about 1:15 p.m. when the truck Dixon was driving failed to make a curve and overturned about a mile east of Henrietta on U.S. 287.

A passenger, Ronnie Skinner, 21, of Graceville, was slightly injured. He was trapped inside the cab for more than 20 minutes until policemen and firemen were able to gain entry with axes.

Dixon had loaded the truck, owned by a company in Greenwood, Fla., with cattle in Sunray and was on his way to Greenwood when the accident occurred.

A graduate of Morse High School, Dixon attended Frank Phillips College here and Panhandle State College at Goodwell, Okla.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Elvagene Dixon of Morse; his father, Robert Thuett of Hereford; a sister, Mrs. Suzanne Howell of Morse; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Pearl Dixon of Morse and Mrs. Stella Thuett of Vega.
