Clifford M. (Bud) Abbott, 44, 200 Butadieno, Bunavista, died Wednesday in Baylor Medical Center, Dallas.
Abbott, a foreman for Phillips Petroleum Co. was prominent in sports circles and was well known among golfing enthusiasts. He is a former Hutchinson County Golf Tournament winner and was active in the sport throughout the area for a long number of years.
He was a member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge, 1355.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Erma Abbott, three sons, Jerry, Andy and Randy Abbott, all of the home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Borger, the Rev. Dudley Bragg, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial in Westlawn Memorial Park will be under the direction of Ed Brown, Funeral Directors.
Graveside rites will be conducted by Adobe Walls Lodge 1355, A.F. and A.M. Lodge members should assemble at the temple on N. Hedgecoke at 9 a.m.

Erma M. Abbott, 91, of Borger, passed away, Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
Emma Mildred Abbott was born July 2, 1921 in Lenna, OK to Walter and Lula (Morrison) Prince. She married C.M. Abbott
She is preceded in death by her Parents Walter and Lula Prince, Husband C.M. Abbott, Son Jerry Abbott, two Brothers Douglas Prince and Wilborn Prince; Sister Catherin Isham, and Grandson Russell Abbott.
Survivors include two sons: Andy Abbott of DePew, Oklahoma and Randy Abbott of Irving, TX. brother: William Prince of Grapevine, TX. , sister: Virginia Cox of McKinney, TX. several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Brown Chapel of the Fountains in Borger, TX.
