Macie Alene Lawrence Adkins, 81, of Amarillo, died Monday, July 9, 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with Glen McCathern, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery of Borger by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker. She married Luther Adkins in 1941. She was a member of the Coulter Road Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for more than 60 years.
She was a former member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch and Buena Vista Baptist Church of Borger.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kay Harris of Amarillo; two sons, Terry Adkins of Granbury and Ronnie Adkins of Garland; two brothers, David Lawrence of Amarillo and Jerry Lawrence of Midland; two sisters, Dean McClendon of Fort Worth and Patricia McJimsey of Silverton; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Coulter Road Baptist Church.
