Elizabeth J. "Jo" Atkinson, 86, of 201 N. Roby, Fritch died Saturday at the Borger Nursing Center.

Retired from the Phillips Plains Plant, she was a native of Indian Territory, Ok and lived in Fritch and Borger for the past 44 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fritch, Eastern Star OES 811 and Fritch Sunshine Club. Preceded in death by her husband E.A. "Heavy" Atkinson in 1970.

She is survived by a son, Charles A. Atkinson, Fritch; a daughter, Doreen Todd, College Staton, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Blackwell, Kansas, Ok.; brother Glen Davis of Miami, Ok.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Southern Baptist, Fritch, with Rev. Ron Trussler officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Home.
