June 7, 1941 - November 4, 2013

Nita June Ausbrooks, 72, of Fritch died Monday, November 4, 2013 in her home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 9, at the Bunavista Baptist Church, Borger, with Danny Courtney, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Fritch officiating and Connie Moore, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church assisting. There will be a family visitation at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Nita was born to Eugene and Margaret Stowers in Okmulgee, OK, on June 7, 1941. She married Calvin Ausbrooks on September 20, 1960 in Borger.

She has lived in area since 1945. Nita is a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church. Nita loved to eat cookies, travel, clothes, shoes, and purses, but most of all her granddaughter. She was a very social person and loved her family and friends.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Jerry Stowers.

Survivors are, her son, Kevin Ausbrooks and wife Stephanie of Fritch; Sister, Alta Russell and husband Leon, of Pineville, MO; Brother-in-law, Carl Ausbrooks of Amarillo; Sister-in-laws ,Erma Blankenship and husband Bobbie of Stinnett and Judy Stowers of Borger; Granddaughter Shalea Ausbrooks of Amarillo; and seven Nieces and Nephews.

The family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX, 79106.
