FRITCH - Skyler G. Aynes, 88, formerly of Fritch, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, in Lubbock.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Browning, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating and Masonic rites by Unity Masonic Lodge No. 1242. Arrangements by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Aynes was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Nellie, Ark. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II and was a blender for Phillips Petroleum Co.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Aynes; a daughter, Pam Hargrove of Lubbock; a brother, Kenneth Aynes of Harrah, Okla.; and a grandson.
