BORGER - J.C. Badgett, 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with Gary Bodine of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Badgett was born in Sadler and had been a Borger resident for 54 years. He was a pipe fitter for Local Union No. 196.

He married Ruby Pardue in 1938 at Shay, Okla. He was preceded in death by two sons, Max Lynn Badgett in 1939 and Michael Glenn Badgett in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Edd Badgett and Jeff Badgett, both of Borger, and Jessie Badgett of Farmerville, La.; a daughter, Frances Ford of Kingston, Okla.; a brother, Bill Badgett of Las Vegas; three sisters, Maggie Lee Askew of Gainesville, Ruth Jones of Madill, Okla., and Louise Samples of Farmington, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

MADILL, Okla. - Ruby Pauline Badgett, 88, of Kingston, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Church of Christ in Kingston. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Westlawn Cemetery, Borger, Texas. Arrangements are by Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
