Graveside services for E. Don "Buz" Baker, 46, 1507 Balin, were at 10:30 a.m. today at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Sheppard, pastor of Faith Covenant Church, officiating, under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Bill Cornelius, P.L. Taylor, W.E. "Butch" Turner, Gordon Beamguard, Duane Hunt, David Spector, Dick Weddington, Randy Kirk, Gene Barton, and Bruce Gillman.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Sheppard, pastor, Faith Covenant Church, officiating.

Baker died in a two-vehicle accident March 29 five miles northeast of White Deer.

He was lifetime resident of Borger. He was vice president and general manager of E.D. Baker Corp. He was a member of Faith Covenant Church and served as chairman of the board of elders. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was a Navy lieutenant.

Baker was the former president of Borger Rotary Club, and a member of the Borger Chamber of Commerce. He was president of Frank Phillips College Board of Development, past president of Crockett PTA, coach for Little Dribblers, and was on the board of directors for Hidden Falls Ranch Youth Camp.

He grew up in Borger and graduated from Borger High School in 1961. He earned a master's degree at Texas Tech University.

He married his wife, Joye, June 26, 1971 in San Diego, Calif.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bryan and Timothy, both of the home; one daughter, Dena Baker of Dallas; father, E. Don Baker, Sr. of Borger; one brother, Art Baker of Amarillo; one sister, Nancy Jane Windt of Sarasota, Fla.

Memorials may be made to Hidden Falls Ranch Youth Camp, Box 136, Wayside, Texas 798094.

Burial was by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
